The Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area’s mission, per Public Law 104-323, is to provide for the interpretation of the “unique and significant contributions to our national heritage of cultural and historical lands, waterways and structures” within the Poudre River valley. The Heritage Area’s significance, from a national and international perspective, is centered, largely, around the cultural resources associated with the development of western water law and the water delivery system that serves the region.
